Q-switched laser : YAG (Harmony)

What is it?

The Q-switched laser is especially used to remove signs of photoaging, such as freckles, sun spots, senile lentigines and nevus that can appear on face, neck, neckline and hands, as well as the removal of tattoos, having excellent results because of the fact that it can be applied on every skin type.

This treatment was created to get rid of discolored skin patches. It's performed in several sessions, each lasting between 15 to 30 minutes, depending on the depth of pigmentation in the subcutaneous layers and the extension of the area to be treated. It is not invasive, the discomfort is usually minimal.

Objectives

  • Get rid of discolored skin patches
  • Remove tattoos

How does it work?

The Q-switched laser emits heat through a light, which causes the molecules that are present in the pigmentation to fragment and disperse until the spot disappears. The wonderful thing about this laser is that it practically leaves no injuries or scars.

The Q-switched laser can be used in conjunction with other lasers to improve the appearance of the skin. We invite you to learn more about the different treatments we offer in Lasermedica, and also contact us for any questions or to make an appointment with our team of professionals.
